OPERATION SPEED CAMERA
The Police Officers based in Mumbles have been out on the streets of West Cross and the Mayals, with hand held speed cameras.
This action was taken after local residents made a complaint, at the the last P.A.C.T. meeting regarding excessive speeding.
This is an ongoing operation and has been successful, with some motorist being given written warnings and others have been fined and had three (3) points added to their driving licences.
Remember the maximum speed in the area of Mumbles Community Council (and other areas of Swansea) is 30 miles per hour and only 20 miles per hour near our schools.
Drive within the speed limit, so as to avoid accidents and not get booked for speeding or dangerous driving.
The next P.A.C.T. meeting will be held at 7.00 p.m. on the 1st July 09
at the Conservative Club, Mumbles Road, Southend, Mumbles.
