Mumbles in Bloom
PRESS RELEASE – 4 JUNE 2000 MUMBLES IN BLOOM 2007

It is time once again for all enthusiastic gardeners in Mumbles to start thinking of entering Mumbles’ own “BLOOMIN TIME”.  Yes, judging day will soon be here.

Entry forms (see notes to editor below) are to be returned by July 1st Ian Scott and Steve Protheroe will judge gardens on July 14th.  They said last year “what a pleasure it has been to have a look at the gardens entered “.   During judging last year they noted a number of excellent gardens that had unfortunately not been entered into the competition.

Commenting of this, Councillor O. Rees, who organises the event on behalf of Mumbles Community Council, said: “It is such a shame that so many gardens worthy of awards were not entered.  I hope that many more will this year because it was such a pleasure at the awards evening to see the enjoyment and camaraderie of the award winners”.

She urges all of Mumbles’ residents, proud of their gardens, to enter and join in to make it “A BLOOMING LOVELY PLACE”

The awards evening will be held early in September.

  1. Mumbles in Bloom is organised by Mumbles Community Council
  2. Entry forms are available by either writing to the Council Offices (address below) by telephone 363 598 or you can download them here.
