DID YOU SEE THE EVENING POSTS 4th JULY report?

Oystermouth Castle has revealed hidden secrets!!

Archeologists, students and volunteers started a three week excavation project and so far, they think they have found part of the foundations of the south west drum tower. They are now trying to establish when the walls were taken down. It is possible that they were removed by Oliver Cromwell or taken down as part of a 19th Century rebuild.

The 'dig' is the second part of a £1.7m project which will take place over the next 4 years.

We look forward to hearing more about any interesting finds.

WOW! Did you know that during the annual Swansea Style Awards- the winner of the best toilets - was (the one in) OYSTERMOUTH SQUARE!
