GLADYS STEPHENSON, WHO HAD BEEN A TIRELESS VOLUNTEER, SUPPORTING THE LOCAL LIFEBOAT STATION FOR NEARLY 30 YEARS. They will carry the coffin of Mrs. Stephenson, (86-years of age), who died on Friday 28th November 2008. Mrs. Stephenson served as Treasurer to the Mumbles Ladies' Lifeboat Guild for 25 years. Mrs Stephenson will be laid to rest at Oystermouth Cemetery after a funeral service to be held at All Saints Church, Oystermouth. Details will be announced in the Evening Post. Sept.08 the City & County of Swansea became responsible for parking enforcement within the City and County area. The Civil Enforcement Officers will issue Penalty Charge Notices (PCN ) to those vehicles contravening the parking restrictions, which includes car parks. The current penalty is either £70 for high rate contraventions, or £50 for low rate contraventions. This is reduced by 50% if the penalty is paid within 14 days, or it will be increased by 50% if the penalty is outstanding after 28 days.
