ANY QUESTIONS - BBC RADIO 4

A very successful programme was produced live from All Saints church Mumbles on Friday 13th April 2007.

The Chairman, Jonathon Dimbleby was at his usual ebullient high standard, keeping the team of Peter Hain, Secretary of State for Wales and Northen Ireland, Adam Price, M. P. for Plaid Cymru for Carmarthen East, Cheryl Gillan, M. P. who is Shadow Secretary of State for Wales and Lembit Opik M. P. who speaks for the Liberal Democrats on Wales and Northen Ireland. To add to the list of special persons there on the evening was the 'cheeky ' friend of Lembit Opik.

The main thrust of questions for the evening was the withdrawal of troops from Iraq, and the question of why they were sent there in the first place?

We hope that you listened to the programme or the repeat at 1. 00 p.m.on Saturday and enjoyed this remarkable discussion.

The Mumbles Community Council would like to thank the BBC Radio 4 for allowing this programme to be broadcast from Mumbles. What a success for such a small village community like Mumbles. Our thanks must also go to the Producer, Anne Peacock and the rest of the Production team.

Well done also to the team of hard workers from the Mumbles Community Council who made it a very successfull evening.

Any Questions

Congratulations to Catherine Walsh

from Patrick's

who swam five kilometres and raised £560 for the Marie Curie Cancer Caer. Well done also to Ieuan Williams her chef who accompanied her on this 100 length challenge at Swansea's Wales National Pool.
